Invitation for Abstract Submission for SOLARIS - 2019

Dates: February 7-9, 2019
Venue: For 7th and 8th February : JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA (JMI), Jamia Nagar, New Delhi
For 9th February: Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India

Dear Innovators in Renewable Energy,

We invite you to join us in Delhi and Ghaziabad, India for "International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Climate, SOLARIS 2019". The conference is scheduled to be held from 7 to 9 February, 2019 at the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and Hi-Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad the two premier Institutes and center of excellences for research, development and application in Science, Engineering and Technology of the country.

During the conference, we intend to marshal these resources to explore ideas and lay out specific details regarding how each kind of energy – wind, bio-energy, geothermal and solar energy can lead to self-sufficiency, how using non-conventional and environment friendly form of energy can help us mitigate the absurd effects of global warming, and how renewable energy sources can give us a sustainable climate on the planet on which we live.

The conference is jointly organized by JMI, New Delhi, Hi-Tech Engineering College, Ghaziabad and Bag Energy Research Society, Varanasi.

JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA (JMI), an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’.

The story of its growth from a small institution in the pre-independence India to a central university located in New Delhi—offering integrated education from nursery to research in specialized areas—is a saga of dedication, conviction and vision of a people who worked against all odds and saw it growing step by step. They “built up the Jamia Millia stone by stone and sacrifice by sacrifice,” said Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India.

Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology (Hiet), is one of the premier institutions in the field of technical and management education in NCR region, Ghaziabad. Hi-Tech is committed to the integration of student learning, research and development by creating transformative learning opportunities that enrich the lives of our students. We strive to promote excellence and encourage student success by engaging students in the life of the campus community.

Bag Energy Research Society (BERS), an NGO, is acting as a national level institution to extend its all efforts to bring about improvement in the social life conditions of the entire human being within the framework of the natural resource base. The BERS is also consistently persevering to spread the research to the common people by means of the BERS complex, established in the city of Varanasi.

Thus, to step forward in the direction of an energy-secured and eco-friendly world, we welcome you to India and the historical city of Varanasi.

We look forward to you joining us for three days of fruitful deliberations and exchange of views, along with an opportunity to visit some of the famous historical places, restaurants and night spots within the city as also nearby historical cities.

Prof. G.N. Tiwari
International Organising Secretary, Solaris 2019

Theme

Achieving sustainable development in the world undoubtedly revolves around the proper use of energy. However, under the current economic situation, the more energy one needs, the more pollution is likely to happen. This foregoing is simply because of the world’s reliance on fossil fuels as opposed to renewable energy sources.

The limited supplies, uneven distribution, and rising costs of  fossil fuels, such as oil and gas, create a need to change to more  sustainable energy  sources in the foreseeable future. Energy security has become one of the leading issues in the world today as oil and other resources have become as vital to the world's people. However with oil production rates decreasing and oil production peak nearing the world has come to protect what resources we have left in the world. With new advancements in renewable resources less pressure has been put on companies that produce the worlds oil, these resources are, geothermal, solar power, wind power and hydro-electric.

Objectives

Original contributions and review papers based on theoretical research, simulation, experimental work, design, development, testing and measurement are solicited for presentation at SOLARIS 2019. Only the accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings. The scope of the conference includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

(i) Solar radiation modeling, day lighting, solar thermal and photo voltaic systems

(ii) Sustenance of renewable energy resources (invited speakers)

(iii) Correlation between industrial growth and climate (invited speakers)
